More than 400,000 miles of compatible roads†Available on select Chevy vehicles in the U.S. and Canada. This road expansion allows you to travel hands-free on more roads than ever before. Available Super Cruise† hands-free driver assistance technology is now being offered on more Chevrolet vehicles than ever before. Select 2024 vehicles will now see available Super Cruise† feature that is capable of hands-free technology to enhance your driving experience.
Compatible Highway Map
Lane Change on Demand†By simply activating the turn signal on select Chevy vehicles, Lane Change on Demand will look for an opening in the desired lane and change lanes without any further input from the driver. With 400,000 miles and counting of compatible highways in the U.S. and Canada, there are plenty of regions where attentive drivers can take advantage of Super Cruise. When engaged, Super Cruise† utilizes a Driver Attention System. It provides feedback on system status while tracking the driver’s head position and using alerts that prompt the driver to pay close attention to the highway and steer manually when needed. The result, either way, is avoiding a collision, but that's where paying attention pays off with Super Cruise - a smoother ride for the driver and passengers. The difference with Super Cruise is that it's always paying attention, so it's an excellent failsafe.
DRIVER ASSISTANCE FEATURES
Drivers need only select the Alternate Routes Overview on the touchscreen to switch views and find a Super Cruise-compatible road. In addition, the new large touchscreen allows for a wide range of screen combinations and reconfigurability. Drivers must always pay attention to the road while using Super Cruise. Otherwise, the Driver Attention System will initiate three separate prompts until the driver returns their attention to the road.

It is designed to help you stay in a single lane and works with Adaptive Cruise Control to help you keep distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you. A message appears on the DIC during the lane change to provide more information on the status of the lane change. To cancel a Super Cruise lane change, move the turn signal lever or manually take over the steering wheel at any time. Verify the lane next to your vehicle is clear and conditions are safe to make a lane change.

Super Cruise reset when the car was turned off and left overnight. The next day we drove through some rain and sleet, and there we got warnings that the sensors were blocked and Super Cruise wouldn't work. Fully autonomous vehicles on the road aren't going to happen for a long, long time. Basically, as long as there are clearly visible lane markings, the system seems able to function. But if the road is covered in snow — or it’s a dirt road like the one we encountered on one of our splitboarding jaunts — you’re SOL. Super Cruise’s capabilities will remain the same, and the system won’t be able to handle any new driving scenarios, like traffic lights and four-way stops, said Jeff Miller, product manager for Super Cruise.

You need to take control to steer around a traffic situation or object, merge into traffic, exit the highway, make a turn, stop for crossing traffic or a traffic light, a stop sign or other traffic control device. Super Cruise is not a crash avoidance system and will not steer or brake to avoid a crash. Super Cruise does not steer to prevent a crash with stopped or slow-moving vehicles. You must supervise the driving task and may need to steer and brake to prevent a crash, especially in stop-and-go traffic or when a vehicle suddenly enters your lane. As easy as 1, 2, 3 — enable Super Cruise hands-free driver technology in three simple steps.
CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY
Maintains a selected following gap between you and the detected vehicle ahead. Close this window to stay here or choose another country to see vehicles and services specific to your location. When the Super Cruise Symbol and steering wheel indicator turn green, you’re ready to go hands-free.
GMC INFOTAINMENT WITH GOOGLE BUILT-IN COMPATIBILITY OFFERS A MORE SEAMLESS, HANDS-FREE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
Inside the cabin is a Driver Attention System consisting of a camera integrated on top of the steering column and infrared emitters integrated into the steering wheel. These components help ensure the driver is paying attention. To disengage Super Cruise,† take control of the steering wheel and then press the Super Cruise† button again or press the brake or pull the Regen on Demand† paddle if equipped. If you grab the steering wheel and press the brake pedal, Super Cruise† and Adaptive Cruise Control will disengage. However, when traffic started building, things weren't so smooth, and the asshole drivers came out to play. Then, you pull out to pull an overtaking maneuver at 65 mph, preparing to go past both.
Super Cruise† is designed to drive in the true centre of the lane (+/- 4 inches or 10 cm). In addition, in the Bolt EUV, Super Cruise† does not move to one side of the lane when passing traffic. Available on select Chevrolet vehicles in Canada and the U.S. Allows you to travel hands-free on more highways than ever before. If Super Cruise is included on a trim level, it's a no-brainer.
If Adaptive Cruise Control is already set, the symbol will be green with a speed shown. Visit the Super Cruise page to learn more about how this true hands-free driver-assistance technology can be used on compatible roadways. The white line will disappear once a driver has selected a route and the view on the touchscreen is showing the route as active.
